A Home for MiLife

MiLife’s skill is in creating independent environments where people continue to interact with multigenerational communities at the local clubs and volunteer organisations that they presently belong to, as well as enjoying the company of like-minded people in a village setting.

The design of the villages means that people are able to live as independently as they choose, with the added assurance that support services can be accessed if required.

“It’s great to be part of Lifetime Design  - a movement that promotes all of the key benefits that we have long believed in,” says CEO Alan Edwards.

Every apartment or villa in a MiLife village comes complete with accessible and adaptable features, from wide corridors and hallways right through to extra grab rails and showers without cumbersome steps.

Along with the innovative design features, MiLife units are also designed to feel just like home, with family, friends and grandchildren all welcome to stay for short periods, making use of the community centre and recreational facilities along with the rest of the residents.

MiLife positions their community centre as the social hub of the village but admits that their villages can’t possibly cater for all needs and interests.

“We ensure that people living here maintain their links to the outside world.  All we can do is ensure that their time spent here is as enjoyable as possible and hopefully by being part of Lifetime Design we can learn how to incorporate more design features that give our people greater peace of mind,” adds Alan Edwards.
